Bannock County Jail Roster Access

The current Bannock County inmate records path begins with the official jail roster page. That county page says the inmate list is now included in the Bannock County Sheriff's App. The county's sheriff app page lists Jail Roster, Warrant Search, Daily Activity Reports, tips, alerts, sex offender search, and emergency resources as app features. That is a material change from the older desktop roster pattern many users still expect.

The public website did not expose the app's live roster fields during the research pass. The older "Current Jail Inmate List" link still appeared in some county material, but the legacy web roster returned a 404 error when inspected on June 8, 2026. Treat the sheriff app as the first official source for current adult custody at Bannock County Detention Center, then use the jail phone, records bureau, VINE, state, federal, or immigration channels when the app does not resolve the record.

The app listing matters because the roster, warrant search, and daily activity reports are all app-centered access points rather than a single public web table.

Use Bannock County Inmate Search

A good Bannock County inmate search starts with the current custody question. If the person is an adult booked into the county jail, use the sheriff app roster first. If the arrest just happened, a missing result may not mean the person was never arrested. The detention handbook says a newly arrested person may remain at a police station while officers finish interviews, testing, or reports before transport to the detention center.

1. Open the official Bannock County jail-roster page and follow the county links to the sheriff app.
2. Use the app's Jail Roster feature for current adult county-jail custody. Do not rely on old roster URLs that now fail.
3. If no record appears, call Bannock County Detention Service at 208-236-7125 for current custody or bond questions.
4. For a copy of a sheriff report, booking-related record, or older record, call the Records Bureau at 208-236-7119 or submit the written request form.
5. Register with VINE or the Idaho VINE page for release and custody notifications when alerts are the main need.
6. Use the IDOC Resident/Client Search after a person has moved into state prison, probation, or parole jurisdiction.
7. Use the BOP Inmate Locator for federal sentenced custody and ICE ODLS for immigration detention.

Bannock County Roster Fields

The Bannock County roster field inventory has one important limit: the app roster was not visible through a public web profile. The research therefore preserves the gap rather than inventing last-name, booking-number, or facility filters. The county confirms the roster is in the app, and the handbook confirms what the jail creates during booking, but it does not prove every booking item appears in the public app.

Note: A missing app result should be checked against timing, release, transfer, age, and custody type before any conclusion is drawn.

Bannock County Inmate Profile Details

Booking at the Bannock County Detention Center creates several core inmate-record facts. The handbook says intake includes a search, medical screening, paperwork, classification, computer entry of personal information and charges, bail calculation when possible, court date assignment when possible, a booking photo, and fingerprints. Those facts support what may exist in jail records, even though the public app's display was not verified from the website.

Bannock County Custody Channels

Current Bannock County jail custody, sentenced Idaho prison custody, federal custody, immigration detention, and juvenile custody are not one database. The adult county roster covers the Bannock County Detention Center. District VI Juvenile Detention Center is a secure juvenile facility in Pocatello, but juvenile records are confidential and should not be searched through the adult roster. Pocatello Women's Correctional Center is a state prison, so searches belong with IDOC, not the county sheriff app.

Request Bannock County Jail Records

When the sheriff app does not provide enough detail, Bannock County inmate records may need a records request rather than another roster search. The Bannock County Sheriff's Office says its Records Division processes criminal complaints created by the office, including arrests, citations, and complaints. The county instructs requesters to complete the sheriff written records request form and email it to bannockrecords@bannockcounty.gov or return it to the Bannock County Clerk's Office at 624 East Center, Room 211, Pocatello.

Idaho Code 74-102 gives the general right to inspect and copy public records unless an exemption applies. Idaho Code 74-103 governs agency response and copy duties. Idaho Code 74-124 protects some law-enforcement investigatory records, but it carves out certain basic adult arrest facts such as name, age, sex, arrest time and location, and the crime charged except where another law applies.

Bannock County Booking Process

Booking explains why jail inmate records may appear before court records are complete. After arrival at the Bannock County Detention Center, staff perform intake, enter charges, calculate bail where possible, set a court date where possible, take a photo, take fingerprints, and classify the person for housing. Classification can later change after new charges, reduced charges, sentencing, or serious discipline.

The handbook says a person incarcerated on a new charge will be scheduled for arraignment within 24 hours of arrest, excluding weekends and holidays. At that court event, the judge advises rights, sets bond in most cases, and prepares an appointed-counsel application when needed. Bannock County Inmate Visits

Bannock County Detention Center uses Securus for video visitation and phone services. The handbook describes local lobby-kiosk visits and remote video visits. Local visits are two free 30-minute visits per week unless the person is restricted, and visits must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance. Visitors create a Securus account with legal ID, and jail approval usually occurs within 24 hours.

Note: The handbook warns against scheduling outside listed hours even if the system appears to show availability.

The sender's full name and return address are required. Legal mail is checked for contraband in the inmate's presence and not read. Photos are generally handled by mail only, with no Polaroids, no laser prints, no nudity, no sexually suggestive content, no gang content, and a maximum photo size of 4x6.

The county links Access Corrections for commissary deposits. Deposits can be made online, through the Access Corrections app, or by phone at 1-866-345-1884 with Visa or MasterCard debit or credit cards. Money found at intake goes to the commissary account, not the phone account. Securus handles phone funding, and the handbook lists a local call rate subject to provider change.
